Meeting called to order by Nick Kaiser at 6:00 pm.

This meeting was organized as a workshop to define mitigation measures that the committee would recommend for modeling by HMMH.

An exhaustive list of potential mitigation and abatement measures was developed and posted on sheets around the room.  Each item was discussed, grouped and prioritized.  There was a discussion of abatement versus mitigation.  Gene suggested insulation of homes inside the 65db area.  Paul Brown said that would not solve the noise in a person's yard.  Other measures included a bern on the west side of the runway to offer some shielding to mobile home park.   Building of homes could be prohibited within the 60 to 65db noise areas.  DEQ is the body that defines the boundary for future land use.  ILS 35, radar right turns on Runway 35 departure were discussed.  Everyone favored and ILS35 and radar but they may take years for approval.  Mitigation, land use, implementation program were discussed.  Education of pilots and airport users on abatement issues were noted as separate from mitigation measures..

Then, through consensus, the committee reduced the list to 4 items that were submitted to HMMH for modeling.  Not everyone agreed on all measures.

The mitigation measures that were listed and submitted to HMMH were:

1. Calm wind 35
2. Right traffic 17
3. No left turn on Runway 17 departures
4. No touch and goes

These will have to be fit into the budget and some may be cut.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:15pm.
